Eurolush over at I Heart Germany posted about IKEA and now I must go there! I don't care if it's 106 miles, 2 hours away and that gas costs $3.79 a gallon. You see, they have this fabric... cotton... 59" wide... $5.99 a yard and I need to add it to my stash!

 

Isn't it lovely?

It would make some perfect bags for toting groceries home from the store.

How come Swedish cotton is 59" wide when all of ours is 45" wide?

And why is it only 5.99? Is the quality less than what I get in quilt shops for $9 to $10 a yard?

Anyone know?

You are a Fabriholic IF...

You buy fabric "just because it feels good". You like to "pet" your fabric. You go to the store for a loaf of bread or a gallon of milk and after you buy a half dozen fat quarters you can't remember why you really left the house. You ask all your relatives to leave you their stash in their will. You store fabric between the mattress and the box spring so hubby won't know you bought it. You buy fabric without having any idea what it might be used for. You buy fabric without caring what it might be used for. You buy fabric and hope that you never find a use for it. You stop strangers on the street to get a closer look, when you see a skirt or blouse made of a particularly great fabric that you'd like to have in your stash. You hide fabric in the bottom of the grocery bag under the groceries to get it into the house.
