Today hubby and I went to a seminar at a local hospital that was supposed to be on Aneurysms and Coiling. I'm the type of person that has to know everything and anything about medical problems. I become obsessed with it. Actually, I was like that when I researched preschools, grade schools, high schools etc. when our son was small. Even back when we bought our dog. lol So guess it's not just medical stuff.
Anyway, the seminar was informative but I didn't learn anything that I hadn't already found out through dear old Google and internet. The doctor actually spent more time talking about strokes than aneurysms. Should have been aneurysms and strokes. So I was a little disappointed. But I did learn a few things concerning how to treat strokes which was good to know.
I'm anxiously awaiting Monday and the cerebral angiogram. My doctor gave me his email address and I sent him an email the other day concerning the IVC filter that I have in due to DVT's I had in 2000. He actually emailed me back that night telling me it wasn't a problem since they use a different artery than where the filter is. I was impressed that a doctor actually sent an email in the evening to answer my concerns. Dr. Sauvageau has really impressed me as a very caring neurosurgeon.
