I decided to take part in a clinical trial from the Mayo Clinic. It's called "Genetic Markers for Intracranial Aneurysms Among Family Members". Its purpose is to identify possible genes that may increase the risks of aneurysm development in the brain. Since our family has a really bad history of aneurysms, I would like to think I may be helping future descendants of mine and other families.
You don't have to live in MN. The sweetest woman, Lynda, has been handling my info. She even called the day after the angiogram to see how things went. They will even have someone come to your home to draw blood. And will do the family history by phone. Everything is confidential. You will have your own clinic number.
Here's the link to the Mayo Clinic if aneurysms run in your family.
